91. [REVIEW] EOS G-207 Super Nudy Lenses in Brown

Oh snap, double post?! I actually forgot I did my last post today since I wrote it last night and uploaded it today. Finally getting myself back into the blogging spirit ;) Here's the review I mentioned I would do :)

I'll have to update when I actually take a picture of the lenses though... -cough-

Mmm these lenses sure are pretty! What I love most about these lenses is how natural they look. Despite the slightly large 14.5 mm size, while they DO enlarge the eyes, I feel like you can still get away with very minimal makeup while wearing these lenses. In low lighting, the color is rather dark, but under sunlight you get a much lighter gold color that's quite pretty. I kind of wish the inner ring was a little more... random? in the design, as far as the specks go, so that maybe it would blend better, but that could just be because of my natural eye color lol. I think anyone with mono-color eyes would rock these. The comfort level is so-so. It's not the most comfortable lens I've tried, but it's also not the most drying either. I'm quite pleased on the level of comfort in comparison to other lenses, but I do need some eyedrops with these (as always, sigh). This isn't my most favorite lens (that's in another review to come!), but I do like these! I was hoping for a bright gold lens for a possible cosplay, which is an almost hit with these. I do want to try more in this series though, any suggestions? :)

90. [REVIEW] KOJI Dolly Wink Pencil Eyeliner in Black

So let's start off my first post of the new year with a review, why not? I finally found a chance yesterday to play with the light tent my boyfriend got me for Christmas and took pictures of my mini Sasa haul. Instead of a haul post though, I'm opting to jump straight to a review since I think that's a bit more beneficial than simply showing off what I've purchased.

So I've finally had the chance to try out the popular Dolly Wink pencil eyeliner! I lovee the liquid eyeliner, so I was very excited to try this out. Also because I lost my beloved Revlon Colorstay pencil -sobs-

The ever-so-adorable packaging of Dolly Wink products is enough to make anyone instantly scream "I WANT THIS"

It's definitely the cutest eyeliner pencil I've ever used. Kind of sucks it isn't pre-sharpened so I feel like I'm wasting product just to begin using it. But that's probably just me being picky.

This pencil really glides on your skin and gives pretty good pigmentation on my hand. I was a little disappointed when I first applied it on my waterline. I had to go over it several times just to get it to show up. On my eyelid I got a much better effect, but I usually only use black liners for my waterline anyways~

Smudged the eyeliner once. Depending how dark you applied in the first place will determine how much it'll smudge. But I also pressed pretty hard, and I'm sure most of you wouldn't put that much pressure on your eye anyway to make it smudge this much!

Ran water over my hand. No extra smudging can be seen.

Smudged once more after applying water, and it barely budged! I'm not sure if this pencil is meant to be waterproof, as most of her products I believe aren't, but this one passed the test.

So far, I like this eyeliner, but it's not my favorite. If I come across my Revlon eyeliner I may not bother picking this pencil up again. I think on the skin it's quite pigmented, but application on the waterline isn't very strong, which is a major downside for me. The lasting power however is impressive. After about 8 hours of wear I didn't find it to smudge or smear much at all. For me, that's good, considering I'm always having something splash in my face at work and attempt to mess up my face. In the end, I don't think I'll be repurchasing this product. I don't recall how much I paid for it (reasonable price), but I'd rather put my money in my trusty ol' Revlon Colorstay eyeliner, which I do highly recommend.

Oh, my, my, my! It's been almost an entire month since I've last updated. I've been SO busy with work and the holidays and just no time for writing a meaningful blogpost. Actually this one is kind of a copout post, since I still don't really have anything meaningful to write about. :B I guess I'll be back next year with more exciting posts, so thank you to all for sticking around and supporting me this past year! Really means a lot to me T___T I hope you'll find some enjoyment in this post, and look forward to my upcoming posts, including more reviews, more pictures, more hauls, and of course, GIVEAWAYS! Got a tour around the back and got to help make bread since it was just us two there that day XD Boyfriend wasn't kidding, their kitchen is fucking TINY for having 7-8 people working back there wtff

Fucking damn good sandwich from Paris Baguette in Palo Alto before hitting up SF~ Chicken, mushrooms, tomato, pesto on ciabatta bread, YUM! If Santa Clara served this, I'd buy one every day for lunch. O_O

The boyfriend and I went to the one-night showing for L'Arc~en~Ciel's 20th L'Anniversary showing in SF theater! I think only me and one other person were super hyped jumping around in our seats and singing along (so I only took one video) LOL. Kinda sad they didn't play my favorite DIVE TO BLUE, but can't complain: I got あなた, my all-time favorite Laruku song! <3 Also kind of regret not taking pictures inside the mall where the theater was located! God damn amazing inside!! @___@

88. [REVIEW] GEO Princess Mimi Chocolate Lenses sponsored post

As some of you who are following me on Facebook already know, I was sponsored my first pair of circle lenses to review! *throws confetti* I really wanted to do this review right away, but my hours at work doubled this past week, so this was my first chance to do this review since receiving these lenses a week ago, and I apologize for the delay! >__<;

So the lenses I chose are the GEO Princess Mimi Chocolate Browns, kindly sponsored by Shoppingholics.com.

Note: I am not being paid in any way for this review, and all content in this post, as with any other, is my true and honest opinion.

Shoppingholics has the most adorable packaging! They also include free gifts with your lenses. I received a super cute lens case, velcro hair sheets, and a cute mini thank you card. Super thoughtful! The shipping time was very reasonable. From Malaysia, it only took about 2 weeks to arrive. I've ordered lenses from other stores located in Malaysia that took over a month to arrive, so I found shipping to be rather quick. Everything was packed in bubble wrap-lined envelope, and the lens box itself was lined with bubble wrap as well. Communication is also great, as they respond the very next day. No problems, great service, I highly recommend them! Now, on to the lenses!

Comes in this really adorable box! What I love is that it's both adorable and provides extra protection for the vials during shipping.

When I first tried these on, I was really shocked how HUGE they look. I do own the Apple Green lenses, but maybe I'm already used to the way those look that these took me by surprise. It's quite strange. The Apple Greens are [obviously] a lot more vibrant than the Chocolates, but I felt like these just look a lot bigger. After a while of taking pictures though, I realize that they look bigger in person than in photos, if that makes sense. So these are definitely The pattern is definitely gorgeous, and will make your eyes stand out. They do show up a lot darker on the eye than what they look like in the vials, but it's still incredibly pretty. The Princess Mimis aren't the most comfortable lenses I've tried because of the diameter, though I've seen many reviews that rave over the level of comfort. If you're looking for lenses to really make your eyes stand out in means of design and enlargement, I highly recommend these lenses. I'm not sure if I'll be trying the Sesame Grey or Almond lenses unless I can get a hold of the Japanese manufactured lenses that are smaller. Otherwise I do like these lenses, but surprisingly I do think I prefer the Apple Greens over the Chocolates.

These photos were all taken outside in afternoon sunlight. No photoshop besides adjusting the lighting a bit in some photos, so the color of the lenses are quite accurate. Sorry the lighting isn't the best, but that's basically how California has been looking lately :P

I meant to post this a few days ago, but work and sickness have been preventing that from happening. Oh, and I've been watching Bakuman every night... so obsessed with this anime, it's so good! <3

Well this was going to be a mini Sasa haul post, but I dropped by a couple places yesterday so I might as well take it all down in one blow. :) I shall start with the Sasa haul first. I took advantage of the $29 + free shipping promotion and got my package in about a week and a half.

Essential Ultra Honey & Shea Butter Mask in Rich Premier

I set alerts for when this baby finally came back in stock, and I was lucky it stayed long enough to take advantage of the free shipping promo. I previously purchased the Nuance Airy mask, but I think I like this one a lot more. I've tried it once so far with my Essential shampoo with good results. I'll try this with other shampoos for better review. I'm planning to do a VERSUS review of these soon!

BeautyMate Nano Eye Mask in Collagen Smooth

So far I've used one mask so far. I have yet to see results after only one use, but I'll try to remember to take photo diary for a proper review. The serum leaves the skin under my eyes incredibly smooth and soft, but I'll be back with a proper review...

SANA ESTENY Body Hot Massage Gel in Super Hard

Again I've only tried this once so far, so I don't really have an opinion just yet. I don't plan on taking pictures either because my legs are disgustingly flabby, and I don't think this is going to help with that lol. But don't worry, yet another review can be expected.

KOSE Men's Softymo Hard Scrub Face Wash

I wanted to get something for my boyfriend as well and picked this up. I really wish Sasa carried more men's products! Well, maybe not this though. I asked my boyfriend if he liked it, and he immediately gave me a sour look and shook his head. Looks like a miss.

Wine on Ice, Nude Blush, Peach Colada

They also had this gorgeous "Cool Watermelon", which was a rich bright red-pink color, but I didn't think I'd really have a chance to wear it. I think I have to go back and get it though, it's just so pretty. Oh and these were each only $1.50! Beware though, I checked each lipstick to make sure they had a good long expiration date. One lipstick I picked up expired in 2008. o_o I don't even know how that's possible, but it was engraved right on the tube wtf.. Oh I forgot to take pictures of the other lippie, and I can't find it right now so I don't even know the name. I really wish I thought to do swatches...

Picked up this cute top in the clearance section at Kohl's. I went there to buy work pants since mine literally have a gigantic rip down the side of my leg thanks to my bike -shakes fist- I also went looking for some red converse for my boyfriend since his are like, pink now... though he swears they're still red -pats back- Didn't find those either. I picked this up in a medium, but since I was carrying a bunch of shit with me I didn't want to try it on, but I think I need to get a large. Not because I'm fat -smacks boyfriend- it's just a bit short :/ I'm just not sure they even had a large since I was so happy to find this in medium. Ah well. I'm not even sure how to wear this! Any ideas? I just really, really liked the print. :3 Oh, and it was only about $10!

Also picked up Brown Sugar Cinnamon Pop Tarts and tuna salad with crackers! SOOO yummy and cheap! Those Cupcake Bites were disgusting though. I saw they were same as Cookie Dough and grabbed it. Oh, Cookie Dough, how I miss you. We used to sell them at Hollywood Video, but they seem to have disappeared with the store... ;( And instead I'm left with a box of shit balls. Eww.

86. [REVIEW] EOS J-202 Baby Candy Doll - Brown

Let's get back to some more productive posts now, shall we? :) Here is my ever-so-late circle lens review, but better late than never, yeah? I hope...? :3

Maybe I'll just start doing weekly reviews every ex.Saturday instead of just random reviews popping up to keep me motivated and posting in a more timely manner? What do you think? Does it even matter? Let me know ;)

The lenses I'm going to review (in case you're not already aware...) are the EOS J-202 Baby Candy Doll Brown purchased from KiwiBerry1-Collection.

These lenses really stand out just sitting in the case, and complete translate on the eyes. The above pictures just aren't really doing them justice, as you'll see later. They're super vibrant in any lighting. People with darker eye color Since they aren't a very big lens, they only enlarge slightly, but the black limbal ring really helps enhance the size. They also don't blend well at all with my eyes, as you can see the green clearly popping through. These are definitely the worst of my lenses when it comes to blending. Comfort-wise, they are among my most comfortable lenses. They do cause slight irritation after a couple hours, but nothing a few eyedrops can't remedy.

I really, really like these lenses for a super bold look. I wouldn't wear these as an everyday lens, but in photos they look incredible. I wish they were a little darker actually! I love the way they look on girls with naturally darker eye colors, probably because I prefer lenses that aren't super super bold and more natural! Maybe then I would consider wearing them more often!

Sorry for being randomly MIA for so long. I just wanted to let y'all know I'm ALIVE. Last week was nonstop work and I've just been too tired to leave comments on your blogs, and I hate half-assing comments. I have been reading though! And once again I have a LOT of catching up to do ; o; I'm quite pleased I gained a couple readers over my little "hiatus" though, welcome and thank you! <3

I went to SF last Thursday and saw the sexy MIYAVI again! The entire day was SO stressful since I had to go to work at 7am, my boyfriend got sick, and my boss wouldn't let me leave early, so we hit rush hour traffic AND took 10 minutes just trying to get in the hotel parking lot. Before that was also about 10 back-to-back days of work, so I finally have today and tomorrow to relax and BREATHE <3 Oh, and internet has been working on-and-off as well the past couple weeks, which also contributed to my absence. Yeah, excuses... =__=

I'm also finally getting myself a working phone! I'm super excited. I've been without a working phone for a couple of months now, and I'm now waiting for an iPhone 4 in the mail :) Hopefully I can get myself a data plan too for some on-the-go blogging?! :D

I'll talk to all my lovelies soon! Again I'm sorry for disappearing and not commenting, I feel really bad about that... I'll try to make it up soon!!!

Quick store review

Shipping was rather quick, only 15 days from placing my order to arriving at my doorstep. They packaged everything in a bubble-wrap-lined envelope and fragile products were carefully wrapped again in bubble wrap. I accidentally contacted them for tracking number after they sent it to me once before, and got back to me the very next day. I've contacted them on another occassion and again received response the next day. Overall a good experience, quick service and shipping, and the prices are very cheap! They also offer free shipping on all orders, how awesome is that?? I'll be ordering from them again in the future. I hope you guys will check them out too for all your nail art needs :)

x3 Cleansers for gel nails. I'm almost out of my IBD cleanser so this was a good opportunity to stock up.

x1 Set Nail art brushes. I keep losing my brushes so this was a good time to stock up! I opted for this set since it has a good array of sizes, but I'm not sure I'll be using the biggest brush, because it's gigantic! Much too big for my nails anyways lol

x1 UV Top Coat. I also lost my Seche Vite UV topcoat some time ago. I hope this one will be an okay replacement until I get a new one! I'll try this out with regular polish as well to test the lasting power.

x4 Super gorgeous uv builder glitter gel. I'm stupid excited to play around with these!

Dazzling Pink, Dazzling Green. Isn't the green just gorgeous?! It looks more blue though, very true to in person :) Same with the pink, where it looks more purple, but still so pretty!

Shimmer White, Dazzling Gold. I love the popular look of glitter base 3D nails which I'm hoping to achieve with this gel. The gold looks as though it has more green/blue hues in sunlight, but it's just gold!

Closer to true color, but you can still see the green!

x1 UV clear gel. Running low on gel since I've been using the IDB starter kit and they are pretty tiny! Lasted me a good long time though, so this should last me forever haha.

x1 set of 500 clear nail tips. I don't know how to build my own tips yet so I use these plastic tips. Easy to work with and I don't have to worry about running out for a while :D

My order from JewelMint arrived today! It took a while because apparently there was an error in their system for everyone that ordered Sept. 30th so all the orders were delayed. Their customer service was very quick though and they provided tracking number for my order with free shipping :D Right now they have 20% off promotion going on, and all their jewelry is $30 with free shipping. You have to sign up for month-to-month though, so if you only want to purchase one item now, you have to cancel your order at the beginning of the next month to avoid being charged for that month. It's an interesting idea and a lot of pieces are truly unique! I hear they often have promotions so if you want to wait for another one, but the jewelry selection also changes monthly so if there's something you really like then you want to get it while it's available!

Came in a gorgeous mint-colored box! I was expecting just some bubble wrap and a mini satch. The packaging is just lovely and gets better. Of course I couldn't figure out how to open it at first, dumb as usual...

Oh my god I'm in love. It has a rustic feel so it doesn't look cheap as if it were solid gold. It's also quite heavy so it won't break easy! I forgot to take a picture, but it opens like an actual safety pin too! Really cool design so you can wear it like the modeled picture.

82. G-Market (#6) Haul, Review Circle Lens, Whee Sung

Here's my review for my 6th order from G-Market. This order was more of hit or miss, but the hits were definitely worth the money. Let's see what happens!

Wow I finally figured out how to use jump breaks... I feel so accomplished right now haha.

(#1) Leopard print tank top

This one was a miss. This tank is TINY! I think I'll end up giving this to my little sister because it just squeezes the life out of me. The quality isn't that great either; the padded bra inside is just... awful. It makes squeaky sounds when you wear it, and just feels really really awkward. Not a recommended buy!

(#2) Dress Holic Party Dress

My sister totally lucked out on this. This dress looks exactly like the stock photo, it's SUPER cute in person! I actually haven't shown it to her yet since I took everything with me to take photos haha. The shipping time was rather slow, but worth it. I love the way it glistens under lighting, just a super cute dress. If I ever need a cute party dress (don't think I ever will HAHA) from G-Market I'll definitely be coming back here. That is also, if they would even carry my size!

(#3) X_JADE rocker jacket

So it's not THIS bright red, but a lot brighter than the stock photo. I had to adjust the coloring since my camera completely washed out the color. It's a very high quality heavy jacket, but kind of a regret buy. I was very expensive and doesn't fit my boyfriend. My fault for deciding to pick out such a crazy jacket, what was I thinking? I guess I'm just getting too hype for Miyavi in 2 weeks haha. I also should've paid more attention to the fact that the models are insanely skinny so they fit them perfectly, of course. If my boyfriend leans out more it will fit him better, but right now he's unsure about this (as he was when I first showed him it anyway). I might end up reselling this one... nice quality, but a little too out there for his style.

(#4) Crazy Bear Dream Shirt

My boyfriend LOVES this shirt, and I do too! Come on, just look at it. Do I really need to say more? I also JUST noticed the back, since I didn't bother looking at it until now. The star is silhouettes of all the characters on the front. I love the color of the shirt, I think it works really well with the design. A must buy for your boyfriends, ladies!

(#5) Distressed Cardigan

I really love this cardigan, I'm SO happy I bought it! The only thing is that I thought it would be cotton, but it's a rougher material. It's not really a bad thing for me though; it seems like it will last longer and not fray like cotton, anyway. It doesn't work as an off-shoulder since the models are smaller than me, so I'm thinking of cutting the neckline a little more and throwing on some safety pins, mmm. I'm getting excited for Miyavi again, eek!

(#6) Double zipper blue men's jacket

We were slightly disappointed with this because it's too big! Again, my fault, as I should have double checked the sizing. I recalled my boyfriend saying some of his jackets were large, but this is fucking huge. I really don't see many Korean guys fitting this, let alone an X-large wtf. I'm planning to toss it in the wash to try and shrink it. Otherwise, it's very heavy and high quality, and I LOVE the color. I've purchased from this seller before, which is why I didn't think about sizing, though it would've been smart to just double check the size of the previous jackets I purchased -sigh-

(#7) Enkistar jeans

LOVE LOVE LOVE!! Oh my god, I'm buying more jeans from this store! I'm so in love with these jeans. Of course I can't wear them yet because I ordered them a size smaller to motivate me to lse some weight to fit into them. These are all I think about to keep me away from my beloved donuts and get my ass on the floor and work for them! I highly recommend checking out this store, they carry a wide range of sizes, designs, and the quality is superb. A must buy!

(#8) CODYMARU jeans

My boyfriend has yet to try these on, but I also think we have yet to be disappointed with CODYMARU. The reason I choose to purchase jeans from G-Market is because it is IMPOSSIBLE to find jeans for my boyfriend in stores. I kid you not. Whenever we go looking for jeans, all we run into is 32+ while my boyfriend is an ideal 29. These are 30 as 29 are hard to come by on G-Market, but 30 fits just fine. As always, high quality, sturdy& stylish jeans thanks to CODYMARU!

(#9) TECHNO chuck out shirt

My boyfriend had a good wtf laugh at this. I think he likes it HAHA. It's overall nice quality and it fits, so that's the main point. Also very inexpensive and unique [to say the least]. I still don't get it, but I couldn't NOT buy this. And I'm glad that I did. :)

(#10) Simpsons Abbey Road shirt

What a shitty purchase. This shirt is a size small, and not in a men's size either! It will just barely fit me, I think this is a kid's shirt. The only alternative was XL, which of course I thought wold fit like a parachute. A huge disappointment that I didn't even bother showing this to my boyfriend at first. I eventually did and he laughed, then was confused about the size. I'm also annoyed by the eyes wtf. There's no other stock photo available for this besides the one above so it's impossible to see. I'll try to color in their eyes somehow but it might just end up even more fucked up. I kind of wish I got this in white at least. Not recommended.

(#11) Apple Shirt

Considering recent events I think this ended up being an appropriate purchase. I'm expecting to see the Jobs silhouette shirt on G-Market very soon, and I'll be sure to purchase it! Again, nice quality and it FITS. Purchased from the same seller as the bear shirt. It's a true black and the colors on the apple stand out. Recommended purchase!

Overall, this order was a little disappointing, but the hits I'm in love with. It was more of impulse and not doing more "research" if you will. It just feels weird to have done an order without anything from Etude House *shock*. Oh, and apparently I didn't order those leggings after all lol. I totally forgot I deleted them from my cart last minute to save some money (psh, like $6 lol).

To really make this order worth it for me, I gotta shimmy down into those jeans before the Miyavi show in 2 weeks (SO excited! Anyone else going to the SF show??)

Sadly EMS shipping is hiking up by over 8%, good lord!! But G-Market is kind enough to keep shipping items at the normal rate until Oct. 15th (the hike was set in on Oct. 1st), but I doubt I'll be making another purchase so soon. On a slightly better note, G-Market is also offering insane coupons for this month! So maybe by the end of the month I'll make one last purchase to get in on the deals, but it just really SUCKS that shipping is going to be that much worse from now on. :( I was planning on doing Christmas shopping on G-Market, but I'll have to wait and see what promotions will be going on around that time.

I'm in the middle of trying to get my new layout up, but my Bootcamp isn't working, and I can't get internet access on my Window's side to launch my layout from there. -sigh- I also have some reviews to be put up soon, and a contest/giveaway in the works with Review Circle Lens so please look forward to that!!!

These eyeshadows are AMAZING. Incredibly pigmented and soft, I'm so in love with this palette! I swiped these colors on my arm and was amazed how the pigments were as strong as directly swatching from the palette itself!

Super lovely LONG lashes! They seem very sturdy and should last me a long time. I can't wait to wear them out, maybe for Miyavi concert near the end of the month :D

Super adorable Hello Kitty earrings!! My sister loves Hello Kitty (and she happens to have pierced ears) so I gave these to her! They compliment her a lot better anyways since she has dark skin too.

Lioele BB Cream! I LOVE this so far! No breakouts, long-lasting, and the texture is just lovely! Not pasty like my Skin79 Oriental bb cream, but rather very creamy and smooth. I want to do a comparison review sometime because I love this so much, and I actually have 2 bb creams at the same time for once.

I also got a $50 voucher for Born Pretty Store, which I've already made my order! I purchased a whole bunch of nail art supplies, including new gels! I hope the quality will be okay, I'm so excited to do my nails again! I'll share my product and store review when my order comes in <3

- Hauls -

First haul is from Big Lots. Since it's right next to my work, I go there quite a lot. Some days they have really great selection of makeup for huge discount, so I check back often! These are my last two picks.

These actually came together for only $4.00! I've tried a purple set a few years ago I found on clearance at Safeway, and I hated it. The colors barely showed up, and the eyeshadows broke up within a couple days, and I threw it away. The colors in this palette reminded me of Dolly Wink Eyeshadow Palette in No. 01 Brown, which I'm always looking out for. I'll do a proper review of this soon, but real quick: Very nice pigmentation, long-lasting, lovely colors, great for everyday and work! The eyeliner is really good too! I love it even better than my sample MUFE liner! Highly pigmented on the waterline, which is usually hard for me to achieve on my watery eyes. LOVE it!

I've only swatched a couple colors, but so far I like it. Not nearly as pigmented as the other 2 palettes, but I'm still excited to play with this. Again, only around $4.00 for this massive palette [for the price]! Also comes with 20 lip colors! Proper review to come. Throw it all to the giant list XD

Pumpkin and Kitty-Kitty sleeping next to each other!! In the 12+ years I've witnessed them sniff each other nose-to-nose a couple times (only recently too are they starting to become somewhat civil with each other!), but this was a shocker! Silly Pumpkin kept butting her head on his and he just kept sleeping! SO CUTE! Back to post~

I'm a big fan of Michelle Phan, and as I was checking her site last night I read an article about this site called JewelMint.com. Basically, you pay a monthly fee of $29.99 (you can opt out at the beginning of the month) and they'll credit you 1 point to redeem for a piece of jewelry. When you apply for membership, you take a quiz that helps them determine your style and what jewelry you would like best (the jewelry selection changes monthly)! There was a special coupon for Michelle's readers (sadly yesterday was the last day and I didn't find out until around 9pm) for 50% OFF. I jumped at it as soon as I saw this amazing piece.

I actually thought it was just a gold safety pin, but BAM! It's HUGE!

I'm a total sucker for safety pins and gold jewelry. The two together sold me, then this picture had me running to find my debit card. There's a lot of other jewelry I really want on there, but I can't pay $30.00 for a piece of jewelry, which is why I was so excited to see the 50% off coupon XD If you really like it though, go for it! I'm just cheap, and so I still felt guilty buying this for myself :'D Hopefully the quality is nice and sturdy, I'll do a review when I get it!

Now my wallet's REALLY going to start crying me a river of pennies yipee :D

Sucks I have to work day after my boyfriend's birthday on Tuesday, since he was planning on getting shit-faced Monday night so I can't take care of him the next morning HAHA. So I'm going in an hour early so I can get off at noon, ugh. I can't wait to give him his presents though! He was having a bad day though so I gave him the teas from Teavana. We tried some at the store in the mall that were absolutely DELICIOUS, so I ordered those plus a Thai tea to try! I can't wait to start brewing them mmmm... I can't write what else I got him in case he checks my blog... I doubt he does, but if I write it down you know damn well he will LOL.

It's that time of year again when my wallet starts crying me a river! I've actually been spending an insane amount of money the past few days with my boyfriend's birthday coming up on October 3rd. I think I've bought at least one or two presents a day since Monday as ideas keep popping up! XD I also had a crazy long week of work and overtime, so I guess it's kind of a treat since I love buying presents! Oh and I've been learning how to drive, very exciting HAHA. So now I'm rambling, here's my order.

We tried this last year I think it was (you can check in my previous G-Market orders), but we needed our order right away and Dress Holic took an entire week with no response, so we ended up canceling the order. Today I'll be reviewing the lenses on the left.

These are the Hana/SP Eye AF31 Grey lenses, purchased from KiwiBerry1-Collection.

I apologize the pictures are blurry. Taken in bathroom lighting with a new camera that I'm still getting used to taking just eye shots...

COMFORT

The water content of 45% was the sole reason I chose these lenses. I have trouble with my other lenses drying out very quickly and irritating my eyes, so I really wanted to try a pair with higher water content. These are definitely the most comfortable of all my lenses, only with minor irritations if I'm staring at a screen for too long. Eye drops are still a necessity, but I don't reach for them as often as other lenses.

One strange point... I know, I'm not supposed to, but I tried these on straight out of the vial, and that was THE MOST COMFORTABLE I felt wearing lenses! I couldn't feel them at all the entire time I wore them. I also noticed the lens on my right eye tends to move out of place sometimes. Once I found it on the SIDE of my eyeball and I couldn't even feel it.... thank god I was in front of a mirror and not at work.

DESIGN

Another reason I chose these was because they reminded me of the Sesame Grey lenses which I've been dying to get (but probably won't since they're so damn HUGE). The design is very pretty despite the spiky edges. The inner ring is quite large though, so my natural eye color can be seen when up close. I just really love the design of this lens, I just wish the inner ring were just a bit smaller.

ENLARGEMENT

I honestly don't see a whole lot of enlargement in this, despite being a 14.5mm lens. If you're looking for bigger eye effect, stay away. This gives off a very subtle enlargement that goes completely unnoticed unless I point out myself that I'm wearing lenses at all. I personally don't mind this; maybe if they were just a tad bit bigger... but anyone wanting big eyes would be wasting their money.

COLOR

Most lenses I've tried have a pretty vibrant effect or show up quite well. As with the minimal enlargement, the color doesn't show up well either in person. No one could even tell I was wearing lenses at all from even a short distance. Up close [and in photos] however, it's quite obvious! The inner ring doesn't blend into my natural eye color at all. To me, these lenses just make my eyes look a bit darker and slightly bigger, but the grey color is only noticeable from maybe a foot away. People with very LIGHT eyes would probably fare better with these. BROWN EYED GALS BEWARE.

OVERALL...

The best point of these lenses for me is the comfort. I'm excited that more lenses are being released with higher water content for people like me with shitastic eye sensitivity. The color was a pretty big disappointment since it doesn't show up very well at all. Funny enough though, I quite like these lenses, but more due to the comfort. With makeup they don't really make my eyes stand out very much either. I feel like I'd have to pile on the makeup, but still have the same effect as a simple everyday look.

10 years later...

Where were you 10 years ago?

10 years ago, I was 12, sitting in my 7th grade Science class. That morning I was woke up and got ready for school like any other day, still half asleep and in a rush as usual since I wanted to sleep just a few minutes more. The entire room, the entire school, for the first time, for that entire hour, was silent besides my teacher's voice as she explained what had happened. She drew pictures of the Twin Towers on the white board and illustrated the planes as they crashed into the towers. I was in disbelief. Even later as I saw TVs playing the news and seeing those pictures on the white board come to life, I couldn't believe what I was seeing. It felt like a dream, my body was numb, and I couldn't look away. I don't quite remember what I was thinking, but it couldn't have been much else but "why?". I remember after school I took my dog to my old elementary school and sat on the slide with her looking up at the sky. I was so scared, holding her and thinking that any moment it could happen to me.

10 years later... here I am. And here I hope to stay with the rest of my fellow Americans. May peace be brought to those suffering and those lost, and the rest of the world.

As you can see, I've got a new layout running right now. It's not as good as my last one because I don't have access to Artisteer since I blew out my harddrive when I was using my MacBook Pro, so along with it went Parallels. Until I get all that sorted out, I'm stuck with using Blogger's template generator unless I can find another one I can actually figure out how to use. I just get bored so easily of my layouts as you can see! :P

Yes, very simple, but you can probably refresh every few minutes and see something new lol.

I was even considering for a long while now jumping over to WordPress since they have better tools all around, but it's still so confusing to me, and I quite like Blogger, and it would be a mess trying to get people to move over with me. I've actually lost a few followers the last couple of days. Not sure if it's because of the new layout or they're just sore losers over the giveaway. ;) To those of you still with me, I love you to bits! <3 See you in the next layout!

COMFORT

Upon first putting them on, I couldn't feel them at all. Upon first impressions, I was SERIOUSLY pleased. My sensitive eyes reacted to them a bit after about 2 hours, but a few eyedrops does help. By far these are the most comfortable lenses I've tried, and I didn't have any redness like my other lenses. Major plus.

DESIGN

Very simple thick black ring with solid color. To be honest, I never ever thought I would buy these for myself! I thought they were just too plain and doesn't cover enough. For being a simple design with a thick outer ring, they are somewhat natural yet eye-catching *no pun intended*.

ENLARGEMENT

It has a fair amount of enlarging effect; not too dramatic yet doesn't go unnoticed. My first impression was that I barely noticed it until I put both lenses in. Although I have yet to wear these at work, I don't think I'll be getting any "creepy" comments from coworkers like my DUEBA 3D lenses... Perhaps my big-ass eyeballs also distract from the overall enlarging effect har har~

COLOR

These aren't as vibrant as I was expecting. Usually lenses look lighter on my eyes, but these were a little disappointing in that aspect. They're blue, but not a nice bright blue like I was hoping. They only look slightly lighter than modeled on someone with brown eyes! However they do blend in quite nicely with my natural eye color which I love.

OVERALL THOUGHTS

I quite like these lenses. They show up nicely in photos despite the less-than-bright/vibrant effect I was hoping for in person. Despite the thick black ring they are naturally enlarging but at the same time attention-grabbing for the lack of overall coverage in color. A few hours of wear leaves my eyes slightly irritated (as with other lenses), but a few drops help a lot. I also don't experience any redness with prolonged wear as I do with my other lenses. All in all, I would recommend these lenses if you're more looking for attention on enlargement of the eyes over design. I never thought I'd try these lenses for myself, but I'm now very curious to try other colors in this series!

No eye makeup! I think they can still be wearable without eye makeup :)

My Sasa.com order came in the mail yesterday. I also splurged at The Face Shop a couple days ago after work. Let's start with Sasa first! *Oh my poor wallet....*

Bison Bakkantou Hot Bath Salts in "7 Hot Spices" & "Rose Champagne"

I've been curious about these for a long time, but they stopped selling them at Mitsuwa! I think they have the HEROINE brand there, but it's like $5 or $6 a pack I think... I got 7 Hot Spices since I hear it's supposed to be the hottest so my boyfriend might like it. And I heard Rose Champagne is supposed to smell divine!

My Scheming Milk Extract Brightening Mask

Stocking up on these now, I love them so much! I'm getting so dark lately, so I wanted to try some whitening masks. Let's see if these work :)

C+M Whitening + Firming Eye Cream with Green Tea

While looking through for a new eye cream I came across a sweet deal for this brand. This one is regular price, but it only cost $4.20. (Then again, the "was" price is listed as $16.30, but I'm not sure if Sasa ever reverts back to those prices??) The reviews sounded pretty good too so why not. I used it last night and this morning, so far so good. I was actually pleasantly surprised by the amount of product you get! :)

C+M Intensive Anti-Spots & Freckles UV Whitening Treatment

Super sweet deal on this! Regular price was $20.40, but right now it's on sale for $6.50! I'm not looking to get rid of my freckles, but perhaps lightening them a bit would be nice. I'm in the sun so much now that they're getting super dark >_< I showed this to my boyfriend though and he immediately went "noooo~!" haha

Lucky Bag of Star Pack

Sasa has been offering these "Lucky Bags" for $29, but you don't know what you'll get. Some of the brands you might get include Clinique or Estee Lauder, and as you can see, I got Clinique. I actually don't use Clinique, so I might just give this stuff to my mom. Was it worth $29? ^^;

C+M Wrinkle Off Anti-Wrinkle Whitening Serum

I think I got this for around $2.00, and it had really good reviews so I had to get it. I think I got the last one actually, because I was having trouble placing my order so when I checked back it was OOS. I haven't tried this yet, but we'll see how it works.

So that was it for my Sasa order. I need to stop buying shit so I can focus on getting reviews out *sigh*

Now on to my mini The Face Shop haul~

NEO Classic Homme White Surge Skincare Set

This is my boyfriend's favorite skincare product he's tried. They happened to have this set on sale, so I went ahead and got it just to stock up. Plus it's MUCH cheaper than buying Toner and Emulsion by themselves with the deal they had going. This set is normally around $65~, and it was on sale for around $43~. Each bottle by itself is around $23 - $26 I think, plus with this set you get extra mini bottles!

Quick Review!

- Very nice, sleek packaging. Bottles are heavy but sturdy!

- Leaves skin extremely smooth and soft, I can't stop touching my boyfriend's face!

- Smell is strong but not overpowering. I can't stop smelling his face either *creeper*

- Diminishes pores, leaves skin brighter

- His acne has gone down a lot

- Recommended for sensitive skin

He's on his second set of bottles (not including this set) and has a few more travel samples he was given too. We've both been very impressed with this product! Last Christmas I bought him the Herb & Relief Flash Homme bottles, but they really didn't have much effect. The girl there actually recommended these so I bought an emulsion, cleanser and toner lol. (Those are recommended for acne-prone skin.)

Obviously he's bought them again and again, so I can safely say that he would highly recommend it. He always talks about how his skin has improved, and it really shows. :)

Phytogenic Infinite Powder Foundation in NB23

I don't have any powders besides the Ben Nye powder I kinda borrowed from my sister *cough*.... I didn't realize it was a powder foundation over just a setting powder, but so far I really do like it! It sets my BB cream very nicely and doesn't cake. It's also a very fine, velvet-like texture so it's very smooth.

Sorry it's blurry, I couldn't get it to focus. I actually had to return the one I bought yesterday because the sponge was used =3= That's sort of the down side of The Face Shop that you can just open any of the products and use it.... not sure why people bother when there's testers everywhere!

The color is medium, which I actually like since my bb cream is so light, so it matches my skin much better. It also has SPF20 which is always a major plus. Again I asked for recommendation of a long-lasting powder with good coverage and this is what I ended up buying. I've never bought anything from TFS for myself before since I was sticking to G-Market for all my beauty products, so this was totally impulsive. I'm quite happy with my purchase though! I'll have to do a review of this too~

Free travel kit sample I got! Another plus for The Face Shop is the generous samples they give you :) I forgot to take pictures of the other samples, but they also gave me 2 The Shim Hydrating Density Toner & Emulsion (x2) and The Shim Skin Density 101.0 Repair Serum (x2). I think it's a new line at the store since I saw a lot of "New!" signs, but not sure if these were part of that promotion~

I was really looking forward to today to do my review of the Candy Jewel lenses, but one of my eyes was extremely itchy today and I stupidly kept poking and scratching at it. I went out and bought eyedrops since it was extremely red and now it's swollen. u__u; It probably wouldn't be smart to wear lenses tomorrow even if the swelling goes away, so hopefully Thursday I can get my review done since I'm off work early that day. Sorry for the delays =___=

I've also been lacking on reviews due to my work schedule and me being picky about picture quality. I'll get some Etude House reviews out soon since I've been using them for quite a while now. In fact, I think I'll go take pictures right now har har~

Sorry for being MIA. Again. Work and, er, video games kind of got in the way... anyone else obsessing over CATHERINE? <3

I've been playing this game pretty much every night before bed. I've put in over 35 hours already HAHA So far I've only gotten 4 endings though. Gotta get the rest asap! :D And if you haven't heard of this game.... you're really missing out. Watch the trailer here:

My boyfriend and his friends were also lucky enough to hit up Kinyoobi-Con in Hayward about a week ago and got autographs from the voice actors of Vincent, Catherine and Johnny. He got the game cover and Vincent underwear signed. XD

I finally got my order from Sasa.com :) It actually came yesterday, but of course, the mail man showed up right after I left the house for 20 minutes tops. So I went to the post office at 9AM today (as written on my pick up sheet), and found out it wasn't open until 10AM. Trolled twice by the mail man. XP

My Scheming Sakura Whitening Mask

I haven't tried this yet since I just used a Grape Seed mask the night before. I really love the grape seed masks so I decided to try this one out to see if it'll actually whiten my skin. The sun has definitley been my enemy lately, I didn't realize how DARK I got >_<

Dolly Wink Liquid Eyeliner in Deep Black

Perfect timing, I finally ran out of my Peripera liner. I'll do a review of this when I have time (the review list just keeps piling up!) I've been using it since I got it yesterday, and so far I like it. Not sure about lasting power yet since I only wore it about 4 hours yesterday, so I'll try to remember to take pictures next time. The packaging is also SUPER adorable, so well thought out! <3

Dolly Wink Eyelash Case

SUPER happy I finally got my hands on this case :) It's tiny which I'm actually really happy about. When I first saw it at Mitsuwa I thought it was SO tiny, but it's only for lashes anyway. Plus it fits perfectly in my makeup pouch :)

Large compartment for upper lashes and smaller for lower lashes and pieces. Perfect to store my Dolly Wink lashes~ no more disappearing lashes! ^^

Essential Ultra Honey & Shea Butter Hair Mask in Nuance Airy

Super cute packaging! I can't wait to try this out :) It also has a very light smell, not sure how to describe it? It doesn't really smell like honey to me...? XD

Holy moly, this order was SO FLIPPING FAST! At first I was freaking out a bit because when I looked at the status of my order, it would say "2011.07.17" so I thought no one was going to ship out their items until then! To my surprise, everything arrived within 2 DAYS! EVERYTHING! I swear, each time I order it takes at least one seller up to 5 days to ship out an item, let alone give an estimated shipping date. In all, it took only 5 days from the day I put my order in to receiving it. Joy!

Package #1 Etude House Moistful Special Set

Super adorable packaging!

Here's what it comes with! I've been so looking forward to trying the face cream, and I really like it so far. Perfect timing since my Olay night cream has pretty much come to an end. Only one problem...

It was coming out of the bottle! The cap wasn't screwed on tightly enough, though that shouldn't be a problem in the first place I'd imagine... it wasn't a whole lot of product seeping out, but I was still disappointed in having to deal with sticky fingers. The bottle is super gorgeous though, so that was a good distraction. I have no clue what the face mask is for since there's no English instructions, but I'll be doing reviews of these later!

Package #2 Black Studded Bracelet

Very well packaged.

It's not the best quality, probably not even worth $6, but still cute. I'm not sure if I'll be purchasing from this seller again, but honestly there are tons of cute bracelets, it's hard to resist!

I didn't even look at the papers, I'm guessing their free coupons.

Came with eyeglass cleaners, 2 cases, and a free pair of sunglasses!

I failed at this picture, I was trying to get the UV 400 in the corner. I have yet to try them on either, but hopefully they look okay on me. I'm super picky about sunglasses, but these look super cute in person. I'm also extremely clumsy with sunglasses, so I'm not taking any chances with these!!!

Boyfriend's sunglasses. They look super funky, and he says they're very DARK when worn! He can see okay when driving though, so I guess they're alright! :) Sorry I don't have a matching picture, I don't know where he put them...

Freaking huge box for such a small item!

Super tightly packed, it was hard to get open!

This item was a total shocker for me. It's fucking HUGE! And very heavy! My boyfriend was just completely confused by this and didn't even know what it was or how to use it. I tried to explain to him that you simply attach it to your pants, but he just kept giving it funny looks. I might actually steal this for real because I don't think he's really feeling it. XD

LOL that's so adorable and clever! I use these razors all the time, so I thought it was really funny they sent me this! Yay!

Again, seemingly big box for just a hat!

But it fits right inside wtf.

Very nice quality, and it fits on my boyfriend's head which is always a plus. It looks a little bit orange in the first photo, but it's a true bright red in person. I don't think it's going to replace his CALIFORNIA hat I bought him in a previous order though, he wears that hat every day!

SUPER CUTE PACKAGING!! In the promotional pictures, I thought it came in a cardboard box. I like this idea better, since it doesn't have sides and it's 'collapsible' (THAT's how you write "collapsible"?? why does it look so fucking weird...) o.o''

Again, super cute bottle. The top is actually rubber, and has a very sweet engraving on top.

Again, a bit of disappointment. When I opened it, the plastic lining was not secure, so you can see some of the product outside the rim and all over the top of the plastic as well. I'm becoming a little weary that 2 items of 3 came like this. I really miss the old Etude House seller. BUT, I have to say I really like this product. I'll be doing a more in-depth review later (I already took pictures) :D

Package #8 Red Blazer

The quality is quite nice, and I noticed the shoulders are stiff (shoulder pads?), which gives it a classy touch. It's very soft material, and it fits him well! As strange as this will sound: I love this jacket, but I would never walk into a store and pay the same price for it upfront. Something about G-Market just takes away all the guilt of spending those extra bucks...

Package #9 Blazk Military Blazer

As soon as my boyfriend put this on (he always puts on a show, so he showed me his back first lol) I immediately told him how hot he looked. I effing LOVE this jacket! It's a bit tight on him, so I keep telling him not to button it, but it looks really good open. What I loved was how the seller packaged it too. They basically put it inside a plastic sheet so it stayed flat, hence no creases! G-Market was very careful to pack it on the bottom of the box too, so thoughtful! :) It did have a couple loose threads, but that's about it!

Package #10 Slouchy Knee Pants (Mine)

To be completely honest, when I first saw these, my heart sank. They looked flipping HUGE. I was super sad thinking about them at work until I finally tried them on last night. They do fit, but look a little big to me. My boyfriend says they look okay, but the back is so slouchy it looks funny. Looking at the stock photos though, that's just the style lol. With a belt they should be okay, but I don't think I'll be achieving that super cute slouchy-ness at the bottom *sigh*

Also the pockets fall like, halfway down my butt lol.

Package #11 Boyfriend's knee shorts

Cool and hip, but not on my boyfriend. These are a 30, and they're too small for my boyfriend wtf. I thought they were like boot-cut (one width all the way down the leg), but they actually get skinnier... neither of us will be getting use out of these since 30 is too big for me. @___@

Package #12 Skull Off-The-Shoulder Tee

Something about this shirt, it looks incomplete or just... not quite right until I grabbed my boyfriend's fedora and I immediately looked super cute. This is definitely a top that needs to be worn with some sort of accessory or it just looks super plain, despite the giant skull and off-shoulder cut.

Package #13 Black Jack Tee

I'm wearing this shirt right now :D It's very comfortable, but the material is quite thin. I don't mind so much though because it's so comfy! And I can feel like a true Unofficial BlackJack now lol.

Package #14 National Geographic & Apple Tees

My boyfriend loves this shirt. The fabric is quite nice, not too thin but not thick either. I was a little worried about the size, despite being Large, it looked a little short. Against his back it looks like it will be a perfect fit. I don't really like shirts going super low anyway, but I'm a little worried once it goes in the washing machine, because his mom has a bad habit of shrinking his clothes! ...Or somehow making it bigger... I don't know....

Same quality as the NG shirt. He had a good laugh at this too. So it's a winner! :)

Package #15 Change 52 Tee

My first impression is that it's super cute, and super LONG! (See next picture for reference). Against my body it went way down my thighs, but once worn it'll only go down to my butt without looking stretched out and awkward. I think it can look cute with a pair of shorts (not gonna happen) or perhaps some leggings? Maybe? This is going to be a tricky top to wear, that's for sure! Another shirt that would fair well with some bangles and a nice belt. Kinda wish I had bought a belt now lol.

I bet I could totally turn this into a kite.

Package #16 Skull Beanie

I'm not sure how I feel about this, to be honest! It's quite stiff, so it doesn't slouch at the back. Maybe it needs to be worn in a bit? Otherwise it just sticks up on top and looks funny. Overall though it's very nice quality and my boyfriend seems happy with it!

Oops! I forgot to take a family photo this time! Maybe when I decide to retake the rest of the pictures, because I'm seriously disappointed with the way I took them this time. I just don't have much time for the next few days @__@

Overall thoughts...

There were some disappoints in this order, but no real regrets. Except when I bought my shorts, because I stupidly didn't bother to check the sizing on their page. *smacks self* I'm glad I finally bought myself some clothes! I was also super pleased by how fast all the sellers responded in this order, it was incredible! It was just super bad timing when I actually got this package in my hands. I had to go to work in an hour, but I so badly wanted to open things (and I always have to take pictures of the unopened product...) So I apologize for the low quality pictures! I'll try to take some now while I have some spare time... but not sure when I'll be able to edit and post them :/

PS. Can I just say how jealous I am of my boyfriend's desktop right now? I forgot my charger for my laptop at home, so jumped on his computer. UGH it's so much faster than my computer wtf.. >_< I also realized my layout shows up as it's SUPPOSED to in Windows.
